Art/Science Fusion Napa Reception

Join us at the beautiful, alumni-owned Matthiasson Winery in Napa for an Art/Science Fusion Program showcase!

This intimate event will feature remarks by Dean Ashley M. Stokes and Executive Associate Dean Jason Bond, and an interactive demonstration led by Emily Meineke, Program Director and Assistant Professor of Urban Landscape Entomology within the department of Entomology and Nematology.

The UC Davis Art/Science Fusion Program bridges science and art, a one-of-a-kind program blending entomology with creative expression to spark curiosity and discovery. Learn about how this program exemplifies hands-on experiential learning at UC Davis, building future-ready skills that create lasting impact.

Generously hosted by Steve Matthiasson, M.S. ’96 and Jill Klein Matthiasson ’91, this scenic location is where the Art/Science Fusion Program’s Secret Life of Vineyards (2025) mural was installed. Matthiasson wine and light appetizers will be provided.

We would be delighted to have you as our guest for an afternoon of creativity, meaningful conversation and support for the future of the Art/Science Fusion Program and CA&ES.
